Horror film legend Robert Englund has signed on to star in Zombie Strippers! The veteran actor, best known for his portrayal of horror icon Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street series, has appeared in over seventy films during his four decades in the entertainment industry.

Since its opening, The Slaughter has been racking up awards at horror film festivals across the country. It picked up Best Picture at the Rhode Island International Horror Film Festival, while the Thriller Chiller Film Festival in Grand Rapids, Michigan dubbed it Best Thrill and Washington’s Spooky Movie Film Festival named it the Opening Night Film.

Two of The Slaughter’s young stars picked up nods for their fright-filled portrayals: Laura Bach, who was named Best Actress at Orlando’s Freakshow Horror Film Fesival, and Zak Kilberg who was nominated for Best Actor at ShockerFest in Modesto, California.

The Slaughter’s gruesome effects snagged their own awards, winning Best Make-Up at the Eerie Horror Fest and the Freakshow Horror Film Festival, and the prestigious Best Splatter Award from the International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival in Phoenix, Arizona!
