The Slaughter is one of those rare success stories in the independent horror market. Shot in only seven days with a budget of $25,000 The Slaughter went on to premiere at San Francisco’s Another Hole in the Head horror fest where it took the Bronze medal with audiences. From there it screened in genre festivals around the world where it won numerous awards (including several Best Picture awards). The film’s festival success caught the attention of Lionsgate, who picked up the North American rights. The film can be found in Blockbuster and Best Buy and on Amazon.com as well as in the UK and Japan.
